A large variety of emulsion products are produced at many of our locations.
We also produce Emulsion Base Stock (EBS) for modified and umodified emulsions, also our concentrate tire rubber (TR) is also used as an emulsion base stock (click here for tire emulsion products).
Asphalt emulsions are water borne systems. Their successful application and performance is directly related to climatic conditions. Excessive cold weather can result in poor coalescence and film formation while excessive hot weather can impede adhesion to the substrate and difficulty in controlling chemical set
Due to the high risk of poor storage, application and performance under these conditions, we will certify our emulsion product to meet specification at the time of loading. However when the following conditions are exceeded we will not be held liable for their performance. These conditions are as follows:
Pavement temperatures are either below 60ºF or above 160ºF
Air Temperatures below 50ºF or above 110ºF
Forecast Rain &/or Temperatures drop below 45ºF within 3 days after placement.
